Starlink has received a provisional license to launch the service in India. According to reports, Starlink will be able to provide only 20 lakh connections in India. This is being done so that other Indian companies can also compete with this American company. It is believed that after launching, the speed of Starlink internet in India can be between 25-225Mbps. Please note that this has not been officially confirmed yet. This service will especially target those areas where connectivity is more important than speed.
How much can the connection cost?
There are speculations that to get a Starlink connection, the customer may have to pay a one-time setup cost of Rs 30,000-35,000. After this, you may have to pay Rs 3,500-8,000 for the monthly plan. Talking about service launching in India, the company’s senior leadership is currently in talks with the government. It is believed that the government will give green signal to this service in the next few months. Starlink owner Elon Musk is also excited about the launch of the service in India. He has described India as an import market for Starlink.
