Stock Market LIVE Updates: There are indications of a slow start to trading today in the major indices of the Indian stock market, BSE Sensex and Nifty 50. Due to weak signals coming from global markets, sharp rise in crude oil prices and increasing tension between America and Iran, investors’ attitude seems to be cautious.
In fact, GIFT Nifty was seen trading around 23,813 with a fall of about 125 points, indicating a slight weakness in the domestic market. Asian markets are also under pressure and the rise in energy prices has further increased investors’ concerns. In such a situation, a cautious environment can be seen during the initial trading in the Indian market on Thursday.
Earlier on Wednesday, a sharp decline was recorded in the market. BSE Sensex fell 1,342.27 points or 1.72 percent and closed at 76,863.71. Nifty 50 also fell by 394.75 points or 1.63 percent to the level of 23,866.85. Market experts say that due to global uncertainty and profit booking after the recent rise, there may be a period of volatility in the market.
