Dinesh Lal Yadav, also known as Nirahua, is one of the biggest superstars of the Bhojpuri industry. His fans always wait eagerly for his films and songs. Recently Nirahua told why Bhojpuri film industry could not reach the heights like South cinema. While sharing his opinion in the interview, he said that many changes are still necessary for the industry.
Recently, in a conversation with Digital Commentary, Dinesh Lal Yadav ‘Nirahua’ talked about the reasons for the Bhojpuri industry not being able to grow. He was asked that the South film industry reached the Oscars, whereas many Bhojpuri films are not released even in multiplexes like PVR or INOX.
Why Bhojpuri films did not reach the level of South Industry?
On this Nirahua said that lack of talent or hit film was never a problem. Films like ‘Nirahua Rickshawala’ and ‘Pratigya’ have been big hits. Even big producers and directors of Hindi films came to make Bhojpuri films. He also told that celebrities like Subhash Ghai also came to make Bhojpuri films, but it is not known whether the film was made or not.
Nirahua says that if the entire collection of his films had been received honestly, then Bhojpuri industry would have reached the heights of South Cinema today. He further said, ‘Many Bhojpuri and Hindi filmmakers were afraid to release their films in theatres. The reason was corruption of the system. Theater owners used to ask for under-the-table money of Rs 50,000, Rs 1 lakh or even more. Even after paying the money, he did not get an honest collection report.

How can the industry grow when filmmakers do not get their due rights? Dinesh Lal Yadav said that the films we made were in loss, but now we are earning money by going to YouTube. He said, now we are getting recovery from YouTube which we had spent ten years ago.
