Why Vaibhav Suryavanshi Skips 10th Board Exam: India’s 14-year-old star cricketer Vaibhav Suryavanshi did not appear for the 10th board exam on 17 February. Now Vaibhav’s father, Sanjeev has revealed why the 14-year-old star cricketer did not appear for the exam. Sanjeev says that his son has decided that he will focus on cricket and is currently participating in the pre-season camp of Rajasthan Royals.
Why did Vaibhav not give the board exam?
According to The Mid-Day, Sanjeev confirmed that Vaibhav Suryavanshi is currently in Nagpur, where he is practicing in the pre-season camp of Rajasthan Royals. He also told that Vaibhav will not give the exam this year, he will give the board exam again next year.
According to the same report, Sanjeev told that if Vaibhav had gone to take the exam, he would not have been able to concentrate on his game. Vaibhav’s father said that his son is a promising student, but at present he is concentrating completely on cricket. He told, “When Vaibhav went to school regularly, he was very good in studies. He used to get more than 90 percent marks in all the subjects, but now his priority is cricket.”
On Tuesday, 17 February, Vaibhav Suryavanshi was absent from Podar International School. School Principal NK Sinha said that as per rules, Vaibhav was marked absent for being absent.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi was recently seen playing in the Under-19 World Cup 2026. India won the Under-19 World Cup title by defeating England by 100 runs in the final. Vaibhav played a historic inning of 175 runs in the final. Vaibhav was the highest run scorer for India in that tournament. He had scored 439 runs in 7 matches.
