Bhojpuri cinema superstar Dinesh Lal Yadav Nirahua is in the news again these days. The reason is his recent interview, in which he openly talked about his career, the image of Bhojpuri film industry and other big artists. In the interview, he was asked that big actors like Manoj Bajpayee and Pankaj Tripathi are from Bihar, they also express pride in being Biharis, but then why do they not work in Bhojpuri films? Is it because of the image of Bhojpuri cinema, which has been built over the years? Does he feel that if he associates with Bhojpuri films, he may be tagged as ‘B-grade’?
Artists are afraid of this
On this question, Nirahua said that the real reason is something else. According to him, the biggest fear is what people will say. If an artist has made a big name in one industry and then goes to work in another industry, then people start making all kinds of things. Like- ‘Didn’t you get work there, that’s why you came here?’ Artists like Manoj Bajpayee and Pankaj Tripathi have made their strong mark in Hindi cinema. He has achieved a high position on his own. In such a situation, if he works in Bhojpuri films, then some people may look at it from a wrong perspective. This fear is natural. Every artist is cautious about the image and respect he creates.
Bhojpuri industry is changing now…
Nirahua also admitted that when a person works in a particular industry for a long time and gets recognition, respect and success there, then he becomes a little hesitant in going out of that circle. However, Nirahua did not accuse anyone, nor did he say wrong things about Bhojpuri industry. Let us tell you, there has often been debate about Bhojpuri cinema, sometimes on its story, sometimes on its image. But Nirahua believes that everything is changing with time. The preferences of the audience are also changing and attention is also being paid to the content.
