Tamil Nadu News: Marimuthu alias Kumar, a resident of Kovilpatti in Thoothukudi district of Tamil Nadu, worked as a building construction worker. There were allegations about his wife Kalpakavalli that she had illicit relations with her colleague Ganesh. When Kumar came to know about this, he quarreled with his wife and scolded her. After this Kalpakavalli left her two children with Kumar and went with Ganesha. Coimbatore She started living in a rented house in Solakattu Palayam near Karumathampatti in the district.
Nearly ten years later, in 2014, Kumar reached Karumathampatti in search of his wife. There he knocked on the door of Kalpakavalli’s house. As soon as Kalpakavalli came out, an angry Kumar attacked her with the knife he kept hidden with him. Seriously injured Kalpakavalli started screaming loudly. Hearing the noise, Ganesh came to save him, but Kumar also attacked him with a knife, injuring him badly.
Police registered a case of murder
The injured Kalpakavalli was immediately taken to Coimbatore Government Hospital, but he died on the way. Ganesh was saved after treatment. Regarding this incident Karumathampatti Police Registered a case of murder and arrested Kumar.
A fine of Rs 15,000 was also imposed
This case was pending in the 5th Additional District Court of Coimbatore. Justice hearing the case shivkumar If Kumar was found guilty, he was sentenced to life imprisonment. Besides, a fine of Rs 15,000 was also imposed on him. The court said in its decision that this is a case of a well-planned and brutal murder, in which the accused took the life of his wife due to personal rivalry. With this decision, the victim’s family is expected to get justice.
