The wait for 1383 youth who dreamed of getting a job in Israel through the Rozgar Sangam portal is now getting longer. Even after completion of the recruitment process, interview and documentation, till now no selected candidate has been sent to Israel.
A notification related to jobs in Israel was released on Rojgar Sangam website on 26 September 2024. The last date of application was fixed as October 10. The eligibility criteria were 25 to 45 years, minimum 3 years of experience, 2 years valid passport and ability to read and understand Hindi and English.
English test, training and examination at divisional level
In this, English test of the candidates was conducted between 11th and 20th October. After this, information about related trade was given in 5 days training. Then the examination was held at the divisional level, in which about 50 percent of the candidates were successful.
PIBA team took interview, 1383 candidates selected
Between 26 November and 3 December 2024, the team of PIBA (Population and Immigration Authority, Israel), an organization of the Israeli government, took the interview and skill test at ITI Aliganj, Lucknow. The results were declared on 11 December 2024, in which a total of 1383 youth were declared selected.
Documentation in Varanasi, still the process has not progressed
Documentation of the selected candidates was done at Karaundi ITI College, Varanasi from 15 December 2024 to 5 January 2025. This included medical, police verification (PCC), passport, Aadhar card, visa request form, agreement and declaration.
Toll free number worked for 10 months, call came in July
A toll-free number from the government 8069955522 Was issued, which remained active for about 10 months. In July 2025, candidates were called and told that if they wanted to go to Israel, they should be alert and not give money to anyone.
The recruitment process was for four trades which included shuttering carpenter, tiles mason, iron welding and plaster mason. It was told that the selected youth will get a salary of about Rs 1.37 lakh every month, as well as accommodation, food and medical facilities in Israel. Recently, the concern of the youth has increased due to the entry of private agencies in this.
When the process of selection, interview and documentation has been completed, then why have the 1383 selected youth not been sent to the job yet? The long wait is now increasing the anxiety of the youth and their families. The youth also called the concerned officials but no official could give satisfactory information.
