According to IDC, the company’s market share declined by about 33 percent in 2024 to about 4 percent. During this period, 4,500 retail stores of the company have been closed in India. The report also claims that sellers in many places in India stopped selling OnePlus phones because the margins for them were too low. Similarly, in China too, the company could not maintain its market share and it came down from 2 percent to 1.6 percent in 2024 itself.

It has also been claimed in the report that OnePlus, which is facing challenges, has canceled its upcoming products. The company’s OnePlus Open 2 foldable and OnePlus 15s were to be launched in the coming days, but now their launch has been cancelled.
