He says that Tesla’s humanoid robot Optimus can become the first machine system in the future that can make a copy of itself and establish an entire civilization without human help, that too outside the Earth, on other planets.

This sounds like a science fiction movie, but Elon Musk believes that this may be possible in the long run. According to him, with the speed at which technology is progressing, this idea does not seem completely impossible.
What is the concept of Von Neumann Machine?
Musk recently said that Optimus could become a Von Neumann machine in the future. This concept was first introduced by mathematician John von Neumann in the year 1945. According to this, such machines can make copies of themselves without human intervention and can create more systems like them.
Can civilization settle on other planets?
This discussion intensified when SpaceX acquired AI company xAI. On social media, Musk said that in theory, Optimus robots can create new robots, homes and infrastructure using resources available on other planets. This could open the way for humans to settle outside the Earth.
