Agastya Nanda, grandson of Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, has worked in two films so far. He made his acting debut in 2023 with the Netflix film ‘The Archies’. After this, in January 2026, he was seen in director Shriram Raghavan’s war drama film ‘Ikkis’. This was Dharmendra’s last film and Agastya made his first entry in the theaters with it.

Completely rejecting this idea, Jaya Bachchan recently said in a conversation with Variety India that ‘No power on earth can change the fate of my grandson. If Agastya wants to become a star then no one can stop him.

Giving the example of her husband Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan said, ‘At the peak of his stardom, Amit ji was banned by the press for almost 15 years. Did this affect his career? Jaya clearly said that she does not think that her relationship with the paparazzi is related to Agastya’s film journey. He told that Agastya will have his own relationship with the press and it has nothing to do with him.
Agastya is hardworking
Praising Agastya Nanda’s tenacity and personality, Jaya Bachchan had said in a conversation with Bollywood Hungama, ‘Fortunately, Agastya is a fast learning child. Both his parents are not actors. That’s why he is taking guidance from his maternal grandparents and maternal uncle. You know me, I don’t praise anyone, especially my children or grandchildren. But Agastya is special. That kid is determined to make his own path. Just like I once did. Like me, he will not follow the crowd.
