In a letter written to the International Cricket Board, Bangladesh Cricket Board had demanded to change the venue of the T20 World Cup matches. ICC has not yet come out with any stand on this, but BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia says that he has not yet received any update about whether ICC will change the venue of Bangladesh team’s matches or not. Saikia says that this matter belongs to ICC and BCB.
Bangladesh Cricket Board wanted its matches to be shifted to Sri Lanka. But according to some recent reports, ICC may propose to hold Bangladesh’s matches in Chennai and Trivandrum. On this, the BCCI Secretary says that he has not received any information that Bangladesh’s matches can be held on two other grounds in India. According to the current schedule, Bangladesh’s league matches are to be held in Mumbai and Kolkata.
