Climate change activist Greta Thunberg was arrested in central London on Tuesday. He is accused of supporting pro-Palestine activists. These Palestine supporters have been on hunger strike to protest their arrest while awaiting trial on charges related to several previous protests.

British government declared terrorist organization
The British government has declared this organization as a terrorist organization. This organization was banned in the beginning of this year. This protest was part of a larger movement. In this, two other activists had thrown red paint in front of an insurance company in the City of London. City of London is an area of Central London which is considered the hub of Britain’s financial services industry. According to Prisoners for Palestine, they targeted the insurance company because it supports Israel-linked defense firm Elbit Systems.
British police have arrested three people
A statement issued by the City of London said that a man and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage. At the same time, the third woman has been arrested on suspicion of supporting a banned organization. British police do not usually identify suspects by name until charges are filed.

Eight members of Palestine Action await trial on multiple charges related to protests across the country and have gone on hunger strike to protest their detention without bail.
Prisoners for Palestine said in a statement: ‘The first two prisoners to join the protest have now been on hunger strike for 52 days. Are in critical condition. At the same time, questions related to bail and custody have to be decided in the court.
In February 2024, Thunberg was acquitted by a London court. In this, he was acquitted on the charge of not following police orders to disperse from a protest that was blocking the entrance of a major oil and gas industry conference. He was also fined for protests in Sweden and London.
