Big action by CBI in Delhi, MCD assistant engineer and bellman caught red handed taking bribe of Rs 2 lakh

Taking a major action in Delhi, CBI has arrested two people red handed while taking bribe of Rs 2 lakh. The matter is related to the closure report of the building. The accused had demanded a bribe of lakh rupees from the complainant.

In fact, while taking action against corruption in Delhi, CBI has arrested MCD Shahdara Zone Assistant Engineer Ashish Siwach and Beldar Mahesh Kumar red handed while taking a bribe of Rs 2 lakh.

What did CBI tell?

According to CBI, this case is related to a building, it was booked by MCD. It is alleged that Rs 2 lakh was demanded from the complainant in exchange for preparing the closure report of this building. This demand was made by Beldar Mahesh Kumar on behalf of Assistant Engineer Ashish Siwach and Junior Engineer.

Immediate action after receiving complaint
After receiving the complaint, CBI registered the case on 22 December 2025 and immediately took trap action. As per the planning, as soon as the complainant gave Rs 2 lakh, the CBI team reached the spot and caught both the accused while taking bribe.

The accused have been arrested

CBI said that both the accused have been arrested and further investigation in the case is going on. The investigation is also being done to find out who other people were involved in this bribery and whether they have played a role in other such cases also.

Big action by CBI in Shimla also

The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a case against the then Assistant Director of ED Shimla, Vishal Deep and his brother Vikas Deep on charges of corruption and amassing disproportionate assets. This case has been registered in the Anti Corruption Branch of CBI, Chandigarh. According to the Central Investigation Agency, this FIR was done after a preliminary investigation registered in August 2025.

During the CBI investigation, it has come to light that between March 2024 and December 2024, Vishal Deep created wealth more than his known income and spent more than his income. During this time his brother Vikas Deep, who is a senior manager in Punjab National Bank. He allegedly helped Vishal Deep.
