MP Manoj Tiwari said in the press conference organized regarding the budget that this budget is different from the traditional budget and has been prepared keeping in mind the future needs. He said that earlier people generally used to pay attention only to tax exemption in the budget and every year an attempt was made to satisfy the people by giving some relief. But the present government has already made income up to Rs 12 lakh tax free. He claimed that this budget presented under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi will play an important role in making India a developed nation by the year 2047.
Focus was on development and employment in the budget: Manoj Tiwari
Manoj Tiwari said that the country’s Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has also made it clear that this budget has been prepared keeping employment and development in mind. He said that questions have been raised for a long time regarding the employment of youth, hence this time the government has made a provision to set up skill centers in every district. He says that unless the youth have the necessary skills, they will not be able to get better employment opportunities.
He also described women’s safety and convenience as an important part of the budget. Tiwari said that girls who come out for studies or jobs have to face the problem of accommodation. Keeping this in mind, the government has planned to build girls hostels in every district. He told that a 1000 room girls hostel is being built in his parliamentary constituency and such a facility should be implemented in the entire country.
Provision of Rs 30 thousand crore in MNREGA: Tiwari
Responding to the questions being raised regarding MNREGA, Manoj Tiwari said that a provision of Rs 30 thousand crore has been made for this scheme. He also said that the government is continuously working to increase rural employment opportunities. Along with this, special provisions have also been made in the budget towards making the country a data hub. He said that when India can provide grains and vaccines to many countries, it can also move forward globally in the data sector.
He also mentioned the reforms made in the shipping sector. According to him, earlier the goods coming from abroad used to take several months to get clearance at the ports, due to which the goods became expensive. But now a plan has been made to complete this process in 48 hours. Manoj Tiwari said that emphasis has also been laid on strengthening the infrastructure in the budget. The bullet train project and construction of new corridors will make travel easier. He also termed increasing income from GST, self-reliance in energy sector and increase in defense budget as positive steps towards the development of the country.
