In which the name of former Bengal DGP Rajiv Kumar is also included. BJP targeted TMC’s list of Rajya Sabha candidates. The four names announced by TM include Babul Supriyo, Bengali actress Koel Mallik, former West Bengal DGP Rajeev Kumar and senior lawyer Maneka Guruswamy.

BJP leader and Union Minister Sukant Majumdar has raised questions on the selection of Rajya Sabha candidates by TMC. He said, TMC is sending outsiders to Rajya Sabha instead of its workers. Apart from this, he also targeted the name of former DGP Rajeev Kumar.

Union Minister Sukant Majumdar raised questions on TMC’s announcement of Rajya Sabha candidate and said, ‘Whom Trinamool Congress will send to Rajya Sabha is a matter of their party, but they are not sending their party workers to Rajya Sabha. TMC is sending mostly outsiders. He further said, ‘Sending former Bengal DGP Rajiv Kumar to Rajya Sabha shows that today Rajiv Kumar is getting the reward for the role he played during the investigation of Saradha case.’
Elections will be held on 5 Rajya Sabha seats in West Bengal
Voting will be held on 37 seats in 10 states on March 16. This also includes 5 seats of West Bengal. According to the number of MLAs, it is almost certain that TMC will win four seats and BJP will win one seat. At the same time, in 2021, CPI(M) had 1 seat, but according to the numbers, it is certain that it will lose this seat.
