Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has been killed in an attack by Israel and America, after which demonstrations are taking place across the world against America and Israel. The maximum uproar has been seen in Pakistan, where protesters even tried to enter the American Consulate. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has expressed grief over Khamenei’s death. He said that the Government of Pakistan is with the people of Iran in their hour of grief and sorrow. Shahbaz has described Khamenei’s death as martyrdom.

Pakistani PM Shahbaz Sharif posted on social media platform He further said that the government of Pakistan is with the people of Iran in this hour of grief. Sharif also expressed concern over the violation of international law and said that heads of government or heads of state should not be targeted.

Pakistan also expresses concern over violations of international law. It is an age-old tradition that heads of state/government should not be targeted. We pray for the peace of the departed soul. May Allah grant the Iranian people the strength and patience to bear this irreparable loss.

Protests after Khamenei’s death
