US President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social, writing, ‘With immediate effect, I have ordered the United States Development Finance Corporation (DFC) to provide political risk insurance and guarantees at reasonable prices for the financial security of all maritime trade, especially energy, passing through the Gulf. This will be available for all shipping lines.

He further said, ‘If necessary, the US Navy will soon start escorting tankers through the Strait of Hormuz. No matter what happens, the United States will ensure the supply of energy to the world.
