‘Adopt diplomacy instead of military action’, China bluntly tells Trump amid ongoing war with Iran

China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Sunday (8 March) appealed to the international community to adopt the path of diplomacy instead of military action. He said that the issues of Iran and the Middle East should be handled properly.

What did Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi say?

According to media reports, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said that the sovereignty and security of Iran and the Gulf countries should be respected at all costs. He asked all parties to return to the negotiating table as soon as possible. The Chinese Foreign Minister said that conspiracies for revolution or attempts at regime change do not get any public support.

While talking about diplomacy with neighboring countries, China’s Foreign Minister said that China is ready to further intensify its efforts in the future. He assured that China is always like a bridge for regional security.

Lack of communication will lead to further conflict – Wang Yi

Regarding Donald Trump’s possible visit to China, Wang Yi said that China’s attitude has always been positive and open. He stressed that no communication between China and America will only lead to misunderstanding and more conflict. The heads of state of both countries have worked hard to maintain good communications. Apart from this, Wang Yi described it as a big year for China-US relations.

According to Wang Yi, both sides need to remove obstacles. He advised America to work in the same direction with China. According to him, both sides need to prepare as the high-level agenda is already on the table.
