A very painful road accident came to light from Mailar Devappalli area of Hyderabad city, where a drunken car driver hit several bike riders. Four people were seriously injured in this accident. The injured were taken to the hospital with the help of local people, where their treatment is ongoing.
According to the information, all these youth had come from Shadnagar area of Telangana to Charminar, the historical area of Hyderabad. Late in the evening, when they were passing near the Mehfil Hotel in Mailardevpally, a car coming at a high speed suddenly hit several motorcycles hard.
What did the eyewitnesses say?
According to eyewitnesses, the collision was so severe that a motorcycle got stuck under the car. After the accident, instead of stopping the vehicle, the car driver started driving at a faster speed. It is being told that the motorcycle was stuck under the car and the driver dragged it for about two kilometers. During this time, many youths of the area saw the incident and immediately started chasing the car.
A video of the incident has also surfaced, in which youth are seen running behind the car and trying to stop the driver. While chasing, the youth reached the main road from Mailardevpalli to Hafiz Baba Nagar. Eventually with the help of people the car was stopped and the driver was caught. After this the police was immediately informed.
Police engaged in investigation of the case
As soon as the information was received, Santosh Nagar police station reached the spot and detained the accused driver. The police sent the injured youth to the hospital and started investigating the incident. According to police officials, the car which caused the accident was running without a number plate. Preliminary investigation has also revealed that the driver was driving under the influence of alcohol, due to which this serious accident occurred. Police said that the matter is being thoroughly investigated and strict legal action will be taken against the guilty driver.
