A painful road accident occurred in Nalgonda city of Telangana on Monday (March 9, 2026) morning, which shocked the entire area. At midnight near Udipi Hotel in the city, a speeding car suddenly went out of control and hit a scooter going on the roadside and the municipal sanitation workers working there. This entire incident was captured in the nearby CCTV camera, the video of which is now spreading rapidly on social media.
According to eyewitnesses, the accident occurred when the municipal sanitation workers were cleaning the road at night as usual. Meanwhile, a car coming at a high speed suddenly lost control and after hitting the scooter directly, it also hit two sanitation workers standing on the roadside. The collision was so strong that both the youths riding the scooter fell away on the road, while the sanitation workers also got seriously injured.
People took the injured to hospital, condition stable
A total of four people, including two youths riding a scooter, have been injured in the accident. Local people immediately took the injured to a nearby hospital, where their treatment is ongoing. According to doctors, some of the injured have suffered serious injuries, but the condition of all is said to be stable at present.
Police engaged in investigation of the incident, SP gave statement
As soon as information about the incident was received, Nalgonda Town Police reached the spot and started investigating the matter. Police have seized the crashed car and efforts are being made to identify the driver. In the initial investigation, it is also being seen whether the accident happened due to high speed and careless driving or there is some other reason behind it.
Nalgonda District Superintendent of Police (SP) Sharath Chandra Pawar termed the incident as serious and said that the police is investigating the entire matter on the basis of CCTV footage. He said that the car driver is being identified and if found guilty, strict legal action will be taken against him.
People demanded the administration to tighten the rules
After this accident, anger is also being seen among the local people. He says that many drivers in the city drive at high speed at night, due to which such accidents are continuously increasing. People have demanded the administration to strictly enforce traffic rules in the city.
