ICC has announced the ‘Team of the Tournament’ after the end of the T20 World Cup 2026. Four players of the world champion Indian team have got a place in this special team. These Indian players include Sanju Samson, Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah.

Indian wicketkeeper batsman Sanju Samson has been included in the Team of the Tournament. Samson performed brilliantly throughout the tournament and scored 321 runs in 5 innings. For this strong performance, he also received the title of ‘Player of the Tournament’. The interesting thing is that Samson did not get a place in the team at the beginning of the tournament, but later he fully capitalized on the opportunity he got. He played match-winning innings in important matches against West Indies and England. His innings of 89 runs against New Zealand in the final became the highest individual score in the Men’s T20 World Cup final.
Ishaan Kishan also performed brilliantly
The second Indian batsman to make a place in this team was Ishan Kishan. He scored 317 runs while batting aggressively in the entire tournament. With this, he has secured fourth place in the list of players who have scored the most runs in the T20 World Cup. Batting at a strike rate of more than 193, Kishan gave a strong start to the team on many important occasions. He played a brilliant inning of 77 runs against Pakistan. Apart from this, he also scored half-centuries against England in the semi-finals and New Zealand in the finals.
Hardik’s all-round performance
All-rounder Hardik Pandya has also been included in this team. He made important contributions in both batting and bowling. Hardik scored two half-centuries in the tournament. He also performed brilliantly in bowling and took a total of 9 wickets and played an important role in the team’s victory.
Bumrah’s deadly bowling
Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has also become a part of this team. He bowled brilliantly throughout the tournament, taking 14 wickets in 8 matches and is included in the special list of bowlers taking the highest number of wickets jointly with Varun Chakraborty. In the final match against New Zealand, Bumrah bowled economically and took 4 wickets for just 15 runs and won the title of ‘Player of the Match’. His economy was also very excellent throughout the tournament.
