Once again the phase of sharp allegations and rhetoric has intensified in Telangana politics. Mahesh Kumar made a very aggressive attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that no one has the right to mortgage the country’s rights to foreign powers. He directly asked, ‘Who are you to put our rights at stake in front of Trump?’
TPCC President alleged that former US President Donald Trump is putting pressure on India. Mahesh Gaur said that if such allegations are made against the top leadership of the country, then it directly impacts India’s diplomacy and national interests. He alleged that due to foreign pressure, the country’s policies and decisions can also be affected, which is a very dangerous sign for democracy.
He said that in a big democratic country like India, the sovereignty of the people is paramount. No leader or government can compromise with the rights and honor of the country. Gaur said that if the country’s policies are affected due to any foreign pressure, then it is against the country’s self-respect.
What has the TPCC President demanded from the Centre?
The TPCC President demanded from the Central Government that the truth on this entire matter should be presented to the country. He said that if the name of the Prime Minister comes up in any international dispute then the government should clearly inform the people of the country.
He also said that it is the duty of the opposition to raise questions on such issues and seek answers from the government. Transparency and accountability are very important in a democracy and there should not be any room for doubt at any level.
After this statement of Gaur, the stir in political circles has intensified. However, no official response has come yet from the Central Government or Telangana BJP on this.
