Oil loaded ship reaches India
Amidst the ongoing war in the Middle East, a big ship carrying crude oil from Saudi Arabia has reached Mumbai safely. This ship has reached India after crossing the Strait of Hormuz, a sensitive sea route of the Gulf, which has brought some relief to the concerns regarding fuel supply. According to the information, the Liberian flagged oil tanker Shenlong (Suezmax) had departed from Saudi Arabia carrying approximately 1,35,335 metric tons of crude oil. This ship is operated by Athens-based company Dynacom Tanker Management. This ship has reached India at a time when there is increased concern about global oil supply due to war and tension in the Middle East. In particular, the Strait of Hormuz is considered the world’s most important oil route, because about 20 percent of the world’s crude oil supply passes through this route.
