West Bengal Election: Amidst the voting in Bengal, Derek O’Brien challenged PM Modi, said – ‘If you have the guts…’

All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Derek O’Brien has given a sharp reaction targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that Narendra Modi himself had said that he is a candidate on all 294 seats of Bengal, so now he should leave big talk and accept the direct challenge. Derek O’Brien further said that if Mamata Banerjee and Trinamool Congress win in West Bengal on May 4, then Prime Minister Narendra Modi should resign from his post.

TMC leader Derek O’Brien asked questioningly, “Do you have that much strength?” Through this statement, Trinamool Congress has directly attacked BJP and Prime Minister Modi in the election environment, due to which the politics of the state has become more heated.

Violence during West Bengal voting

In the initial hours of voting for the second phase of West Bengal Assembly elections, reports of violence and vandalism were reported from many parts of the state on Wednesday. Police gave this information. According to officials, complaints of violence and vandalism have been received from many places including Chapra, Shantipur, Nimtala and Bhangar. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders alleged that a BJP polling agent was attacked by “miscreants associated with the ruling Trinamool Congress” at booth number 53 in Chapra in Nadia district. A senior police officer said that the injured person has been identified as Musharraf Mir, who has been admitted to a local hospital. BJP candidate Saikat Sarkar said that this incident happened after the start of voting practice (mock poll). “Trinamool supporters stopped the BJP agent and hit him on the head, injuring him,” he said.
