LPG Cylinder: Cylinder breathing stuck! LPG booking stalled in many cities, long queues at agencies, know the current situation

These days, people’s problems regarding booking of LPG cylinders are increasing in many cities of the country. Due to technical problems in the online system and long queues outside gas agencies, the everyday life of common people is being affected. Pictures emerging from cities like Bhopal, Prayagraj, Ghaziabad and Haridwar show how essential LPG has become for common families today.

In Bhopal, people who have already booked are getting the cylinder, but those who have made new booking are facing a lot of trouble. City resident Jitendra Thakur told that he had made the booking a day before. However, the cylinder vehicle has not yet arrived. He said that his duty is at 10 am, but he has to sit near the agency waiting to get the cylinder.

Long lines outside gas agencies

Long lines outside gas agencies are also increasing the problems of the people. Many consumers say that the online booking number is not available, due to which they have to stand in the queue for hours. Anjali Singh, a resident of Prayagraj, says that the situation has become worrying. According to her, she has been standing in the queue for two consecutive days, but the booking is not being done. The house is about to run out of gas and they are not getting any clear information. Rama Sharma from Ghaziabad told that she was standing at the counter for about two hours. Had been trying to book online for many days, but the system was not working. He says that when he asks in the agency, no clear answer is given.

Difficulty due to smartphone or digital facilities

The biggest impact of this problem is on those people who do not have smartphones or digital facilities. Many laborers said that if they do not have a touch mobile then it becomes difficult to make booking. In such a situation, they have to make repeated visits to the agency and this also results in loss of their wages. A long queue of 50 to 100 people was seen outside an agency in Haridwar at around 2.30 pm. Many people like Rajgupta, Anita Rawat and Pallavi Sharma stood in the sun for hours, but they were not even told when they would get the cylinder. Anita Rawat said that even after standing in the queue for two to three hours, no clear answer is received. People allege that many times influential people break the line and move ahead, which increases the problems of the poor and the working class. Due to this, resentment among consumers is also increasing.

55 LPG cylinders seized from local leader’s house in Hapur

Meanwhile, some other incidents related to gas have also come to light. 55 LPG cylinders have been seized from the house of a local leader in Hapur district. In Yadgir, Karnataka, the administration raided several hotels and seized 46 domestic cylinders. Officials say that commercial use of domestic cylinders is against the rules and this affects the gas supply of common people. The administration says that there is no shortage of gas in the country and people should not pay attention to rumours. However, the situation on the ground seems different. Technical problems, weaknesses in the distribution system and incidents of illegal storage have made this problem more serious.
