Hyderabad Road Accident: There was an outcry on the road of Nizamabad! Bus overturns on NH44, 4 dead, many injured

A tragic road accident took place in Nizamabad, Hyderabad on Friday morning (13 March 2026). On National Highway 44, near Gannaram area and near Indalwai Toll Plaza, a bus of Khurana Travels suddenly went out of control and overturned on the roadside. In this accident, four passengers died on the spot, while many people were seriously injured. According to the information received, the bus was going from Hyderabad to Nagpur. There were about 22 passengers in the bus. The accident happened in the early hours when most of the passengers were sleeping. Meanwhile, the bus running at high speed lost its balance and overturned on the side of the road. As soon as the bus turned, there was an outcry on the spot.

After the accident, people nearby immediately reached the spot and started trying to rescue the passengers trapped in the bus. Within some time, police and ambulance also reached the spot. The injured were immediately taken to the nearest hospital, where many passengers are undergoing treatment and the condition of some is still said to be critical. Nizamabad Police Commissioner P. Sai Chaitanya while talking to the media said that this is a very sad incident. Initial investigation has revealed that the speed of the bus was very high and the driver lost control of the vehicle, due to which the bus overturned. Police said that the deceased are being identified and their families have been informed.

Injured admitted in Nizamabad government hospital

Of the 22 passengers on board the bus, 4 died on the spot, while many were injured. The injured have been admitted to the government hospital in Nizamabad. The police have taken possession of the bus and started investigation. Officials say that the negligence of the bus driver could be the main reason for this accident. Besides, further action has also been taken against bus operator Khurana Travels.
