Congress leader Rahul Gandhi demands Bharat Ratna for Kanshi Ram, writes letter to Prime Minister Modi

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi has written a letter to PM Modi. In this letter, he has demanded to give Bharat Ratna posthumously to the great leader of social justice movement, Kanshi Ram. In his letter, he has described Kanshi Ram as a leader who changed the direction of Indian politics. Apart from this, it is said that he awakened political consciousness among the Bahujan community and poor classes. The foundation of Indian democracy has been strengthened by his efforts.

Rahul Gandhi said that today we are celebrating the birth anniversary of Kanshi Ram ji. Remembering his life and contributions. I am writing this letter to request you that he be honored with Bharat Ratna posthumously.

Apart from this, Rahul Gandhi said that Kanshi Ram ji had told that it is his vote, his voice and his representation. This country belongs equally to everyone. Due to the efforts of Kanshiram ji, there are many people who started considering politics as a medium to achieve justice and equality.

Rahul Gandhi also wrote in his letter that our Constitution promises equality, dignity and participation to every Indian. Kanshi Ram ji dedicated his life to the people standing at the lowest rung of the society. For many years, intellectuals, leaders and social workers have been raising the demand to honor him with Bharat Ratna. This demand of theirs has been raised continuously and with deep emotion.

Apart from this, Rahul Gandhi said that recently he participated in a program in Lucknow. Where the leaders and participants strongly reiterated this demand. This reflects widespread public sentiment. Awarding him Bharat Ratna will recognize his great contribution towards our nation.
