Vaibhav Suryavanshi gave a big statement before IPL 2026 and told whose record he wants to break. In the last IPL of 2025, Vaibhav had set a big record by scoring a century in 35 balls. He became the Indian batsman to score the fastest century in the history of IPL.
Now it seems that Vaibhav is not satisfied with scoring a century in 35 balls, he wants to break Chris Gayle’s record of 175 runs. However, it is worth noting that in the final of the Under-19 World Cup played this year, Vaibhav played a brilliant inning of 175 runs and made an important contribution in helping Team India win.
Target on Chris Gayle’s 175 runs
During BCCI’s Naman Awards, Vaibhav was asked whether he would like to hit six sixes in an over or score the fastest IPL century or break Chris Gayle’s record of 175 runs? Vaibhav said without any delay, “Breaking the record of 175 runs.”
