America’s delegation is currently in Pakistan. A delegation has also come from Iran, but according to Pakistani media sources, the Iranian delegation is not ready to hold second round of talks with America. He has placed a big condition before President Donald Trump.

In fact, the Iranian delegation has clearly said that the second round of talks with America cannot take place until it removes its naval blockade from the Strait of Hormuz. The Iranian delegation led by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has also given a written framework after meeting with the delegation headed by Field Marshal Asim Munir, chief of the three armies of Pakistan.

What are the issues between America and Iran?

America wants Iran to completely stop its nuclear program, but Iran is not ready for this. The matter was stuck on this issue even during the first round of talks. Along with this, the issue of Hormuz was also not resolved. Now Iran says that talk of the second phase will happen only when the American Navy withdraws from Hormuz.

Who was involved in Iran-Pakistan talks?

The same Pakistani delegation which had gone to Tehran had talks with the Iranian delegation. This included DG-ISI Lieutenant General Asim Malik, DGMO Kashif Abdullah, Home Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Asim Munir’s private secretary Major General Syed Jawad Tariq. If we talk about the Iranian delegation, apart from Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, it included Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Bakai and Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Reza Amiri Moghadam.

Pak Foreign Ministry issued statement after the meeting

Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a meeting with officials on Saturday (April 25) regarding the proposed talks between Iran and America mediated by Pakistan. After the meeting, the Pakistani Foreign Ministry issued a statement and wrote that Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said that the official policy regarding Pakistan’s role in Iran-US talks is issued only by government sources.
