Do not share UPI PIN with anyone
Your account is protected only by UPI PIN. If anyone comes to know about this then all the money can be withdrawn from your account. Therefore, you should never share your PIN with anyone. If someone is asking you for your PIN, even posing as a government or bank official, then avoid sharing it. Real banks or government officials will never ask you for UPI PIN.
Avoid being tempted to click on the link
Scammers keep sending fake links in the name of refund or reward to defraud people. If you have also received a message or mail from an unknown number asking for a refund instead of any payment, then be alert. Do not click on these even by mistake. All these are ways of gaining access to your device.
Look carefully at the QR code
Do not scan the QR code in a hurry. First check that the QR code is not pasted from above. Apart from this, always confirm the name of the receiver after scanning the code. Make payment only after this. Apart from this, one should avoid scanning QR codes installed in other public places like parking.
Do not download UPI app from unknown link.
If any unknown person lures you with an offer and asks you to download the UPI app from a link, then you should avoid it. Always download apps from official sources like Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
