A person was brutally murdered right in front of Kallu police station. The surprising thing is that this incident happened when the deceased was in police custody. Identity and background of the deceased
The deceased has been identified as Eshwarappa, a resident of Raginepalli village. According to the police, on the first of this month, Eshwarappa had gone somewhere with the wife of a person named Hari. Hari had lodged a complaint regarding this matter at Apnekallu police station, after which the police started searching for Eshwarappa.
On Sunday, police received information that Eshwarappa was in Gudur area. After this the police reached there and took Eshwarappa and Hari’s wife into custody. Both were being brought to Apnekallu police station in a police vehicle in the early hours of Monday for further questioning.
Sudden attack in front of police station
As soon as Eshwarappa got down from the police vehicle and moved towards the police station, Hari and his brother Channappa, who were already ambushed there, suddenly attacked him. Both of them attacked Eshwarappa with the sickles they had brought with them. Eshwarappa was seriously injured in the attack.
According to police, Eshwarappa died on the spot due to excessive bleeding. Frightened by this incident, Hari’s wife ran away from there. This murder, which took place in front of the police station, in the presence of the police, has spread a sensation in the entire district. After the incident, anger was seen among the local people. People are raising questions on the police security system. At present, the police have taken the accused into custody and the matter is being thoroughly investigated.
