Union Home Minister Amit Shah, while addressing a big workers conference organized in North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal, made a sharp attack on Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and her government. In his speech, regarding the fire in the Momos factory in Anandpur warehouse, he refused to consider it an accident and directly called it the result of corruption. At the beginning of his address, Amit Shah paid tribute to the workers killed in this fire and expressed condolences to the families of the victims.

Amit Shah said, ‘The fire incident in Anandpur is not an ordinary accident. So far 25 people have died in this incident, while 27 people are still reported missing. According to him, such a big tragedy has happened due to the negligence and corruption of the Mamata Banerjee government. He raised questions as to who is the owner of the Momos factory and under what political patronage he was working. Amit Shah also asked in whose private plane the factory owner went on a foreign trip and why he was not arrested till now. He demanded a judicial inquiry into this entire matter and said that the culprits should be given strict punishment.

Mamta government targeted over Vande Mataram

In his speech, Amit Shah also cornered the Mamata Banerjee government on the issue of Vande Mataram. He said, ‘The last words of the heroes martyred in India’s freedom struggle have also been Vande Mataram.’ Amit Shah said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, it has been decided to celebrate 150 years of Vande Mataram across the country. He alleged that due to appeasement and vote bank politics, Trinamool Congress and Mamata Banerjee are opposing Vande Mataram. Amit Shah said that opposing Vande Mataram is not just an opposition to the Prime Minister, but is an insult to the identity of Bengal and the self-respect of the country.

Big claim regarding 2026 assembly elections

In his address, Amit Shah made a big claim regarding the 2026 West Bengal Assembly elections. He said, ‘When the BJP government is formed after April, the accused in all the cases including this fire incident will be selectively sent to jail.’ He also said that the departure of Trinamool Congress from West Bengal is certain in 2026 and this time the vote share of BJP will be more than 50 percent. According to Amit Shah, BJP will form the government in the state with an overwhelming majority.

Counterattack on the slogan of Maa, Mati, Manush

Countering Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s popular slogan Maa, Mati, Manush, Amit Shah said that today all three are unsafe in Bengal. He claimed that women are not safe in the state, common people are troubled by the alleged syndicate politics of Trinamool Congress and the land and identity of the state are in danger due to infiltration. Amit Shah said that the people of Bengal now want change and will answer it in the coming elections.
