Tamil Nadu News: The hour of justice is now near in the Coimbatore College student gang rape case that shook Tamil Nadu. Coimbatore District Women’s Court has announced that the final verdict in this sensitive and serious case will be pronounced on March 7. After this announcement, the eyes of the victim and her family as well as the entire state are fixed on the court’s decision.
This tragic incident happened in November 2025, when a college student was talking with her friend while sitting in a car in the area behind Coimbatore Airport. Meanwhile, some youths attacked them and kidnapped the student and gang-raped her. This incident had created an atmosphere of anger and fear throughout Tamil Nadu.
Recorded detailed statements from witnesses
Acting swiftly, the police arrested the accused Sathish, Karthik and Thavasi after an encounter in Vellalur area near Thudiyalur and sent them to judicial custody. A total of 112 witnesses were listed during the investigation of the case, out of which the court recorded detailed statements from 78 key witnesses including the victim, her friend.
Scientific evidence like forensic report, mobile phone location and call records were also presented in the court, which makes the role of the accused clear. After completion of the arguments of both the parties, the Justice said that now the final decision will be pronounced on March 7 on the basis of all the facts and evidence.
