There is an uproar in the country regarding the India-America trade deal. Not much information has been given by the government regarding this. After Congress leaders, the statement of AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi has come. Questioning PM Modi, he said that Trump said that India will not buy oil from Russia and you came back saying yes. What will happen to India’s strategic autonomy?
‘America will also decide from whom we have to buy oil?’
Addressing a rally in Telangana, Owaisi claimed that the US President said that now India will not buy oil from Russia but has been asked to buy oil from Venezuela instead of Russia and PM Modi reportedly agreed to this. Raising questions on India’s strategic autonomy, Owaisi said that America will also decide from whom we have to buy oil and from whom not?
Owaisi said that I want to ask the people of Sangh and BJP whether Trump decides from whom India will buy oil. Trump told PM Modi not to buy oil from Russia, Modi said yes sir. On the other hand, there is China, which supplies 80 percent of the arms to Pakistan, yet our government is spreading red carpet for them.
What did you say about General Naravane’s book?
Owaisi also raised questions regarding the unpublished book of former Army Chief General Naravane. He said, “The former Army Chief has told in his book that when the Chinese army came to Ladakh, he asked PM Modi what action should be taken. On this, the Prime Minister said, do whatever you feel is appropriate. After all, what is this, he should have said to push them back.
Targeted on UGC issue
Regarding the UGC issue, he said that I would like to tell the Dalits and backward people of the Hindu community that Modi says that he is the leader of the biggest backward class. UGC regulations were made so that there is no discrimination in educational institutions. This was challenged in the Supreme Court and it was banned. Raising questions, he said that this is a government which could not tell the court why Rohit Vemula died, why a tribal doctor died in Maharashtra.
