Microsoft Team: The Government of India has issued a serious security warning for Microsoft Teams users. Indian Computer Emergency Response Team issued warning
The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has placed this flaw in the high severity category. According to the agency, this problem has arisen due to improper access control in the platform. This means that if the system is not properly secured or configured, an outsider can access confidential data through the network.
The warning also states that incorrect settings or weak security may increase the risk of unauthorized access to meetings, chats and shared files.
All versions may be affected
The agency has indicated that different versions and platforms of Microsoft Teams, whether computer or mobile, are not untouched by this risk. In such a situation, the most important step is that users immediately install the latest security patch released by Microsoft. These weaknesses can be removed to a great extent through updates.
