In response to the attacks by America and Israel, Iran is continuously targeting the Gulf countries. Meanwhile, two Indian citizens died in a drone attack in an industrial area of Oman. Asim Mahajan, Joint Secretary (Gulf Countries) in the Ministry of External Affairs, said that a drone attack took place in Sohar city of Muscat, in which 11 people were injured. Out of these 11 people, 10 are Indians.
Two Indians died in Oman
Aseem Mahajan said, ‘Five of the injured people have been discharged from the hospital after treatment, while the treatment of others is going on. No one has suffered serious injuries. We are in constant touch with the concerned company and local authorities and are providing all possible help. Oman News Agency (ONA), quoting a security source, said that there were two drone attacks in Sohar, in which one drone fell in Al Awi industrial area, due to which two migrant workers died.
Government’s statement regarding the attack in Basra, Iraq
Since the Iran-US conflict began on February 28, three Indian sailors have been killed and another missing in attacks on merchant ships and tankers. So far there is no news of any casualty on the ground. Asim Mahajan also said that 15 Indian crew members of the US-owned oil tanker Sefsi Vishnu, which was attacked near Basra, Iraq on Wednesday, have been safely taken to a hotel in Basra city.
An Indian crew member died in the attack on the oil tanker Sefsi Vishnu. Mahajan said that efforts are on to bring his body back to the country. Efforts are on to bring back the mortal remains of the deceased Indian national and ensure the safe return of the 15 rescued sailors, he said.
