This heinous incident took place on Thursday night in Vemulapalli village on the outskirts of Dwarapudi in Mandapet mandal. Angered by the inter-caste love marriage, the wife’s brothers brutally murdered their own brother-in-law.
According to the police, 41-year-old PVV Suryaprakash Rao, resident of Vemulapalli, used to do clothes business locally. His wife Ainvilli Sandhya is a resident of Medapadu village and is currently working as Deputy Tehsildar in Rayavaram. Both studied in the same school and loved each other for a long time.
However, since both were from different castes, Sandhya’s family did not accept this marriage. On Thursday morning, Suryaprakash and Sandhya got married in Annavaram and after that they returned to Suryaprakash’s house in Vemulapalli.
As soon as the news of marriage was received, a murder conspiracy was hatched.
When Sandhya’s brothers Chandrapal and Giribabu came to know about this marriage, they became furious with anger. They planned to kill Suryaprakash. At midnight on Thursday, both the accused reached Suryaprakash’s house and suddenly attacked him. The accused hit Suryaprakash several times on his face with a heavy stone, causing serious injuries and he died on the spot due to excessive bleeding.
Villagers caught the accused and handed him over to the police
The local people saw the incident and immediately caught Chandrapal and Giribabu. Angry villagers beat up both of them and later handed them over to the police. On receiving the information, CI and SI of Mandapet reached the spot and inspected the spot. Police have registered the case and have taken both the accused into custody and started interrogation. Police say that in the preliminary investigation it has become clear that the main reason for the murder was inter-caste love marriage.
There is an atmosphere of panic and anger in the entire area due to this sensational honor killing incident. Police is investigating from all aspects and preparations are being made to take strict legal action against the accused. Police officials said that after the post mortem report comes, all the facts related to the murder will be completely clear.
