Matka King Review: This King’s Matka is full of boredom, Vijay Verma’s weakest series.

Vijay Verma is a name in the world of OTT, who always does amazing work. OTT brought fame to Vijay Verma. Vijay is an expert in bringing his characters to life, but he missed the mark in this web series. This is Vijay Verma’s most boring series till date. The series on Prime Video is absolutely flat. There is no thrill in it, it seems that it was made just for the sake of making it.

Story– This is the story of an ordinary working man, who lives with his wife and child in Mumbai. His brother is also his responsibility. Due to brother’s wrong actions the responsibilities have increased further. Salary is low and expenses are high. Earlier he used to do betting for his master, then he starts betting for himself and becomes Matka King. His story has been shown in a series of eight episodes on Prime Video.

how is the series– This series bores from beginning to end. We have already seen the story of a common man becoming a don. The story here too is not new. The setup is definitely new. Old-time Bombay has been shown. Bombay looks good. But this series moves at a slow pace. She tests your patience. There is not a single tweet in the entire series that surprises you.

There are no such dialogues anywhere on which you clap. There is a severe lack of spice in this story. The series has definitely been dragged on longer than necessary. Each episode is about 45 minutes long, but there is not a single episode that you will find interesting. You are not able to connect with any character in this series. You don’t connect with this series on an emotional level. Overall this series is a waste of time.

acting– Vijay Verma is the actor of Kamal, but the way he played this character here. Vijay sets fire to the OTT screen, but seeing him here, it felt as if he himself had come and added water to the fire. Sai Tamhankar has played his character very well. You also connect with them. Kritika Kamra’s work is also nothing special. Siddharth Jadhav has done a great job. At many places he is seen as the hero of the series. Jamie Lever’s work is also fantastic. Gulshan Grover has played such characters many times.

Writing and Direction- Nagraj Manjule has written the series along with Ashish Aryan and Abhay Koranne and Nagraj Manjule has directed it. Writing is no fun at all. Didn’t realize that this is a web series of Nagraj Manjule, who made films like Sairat and Jhund. The series does not connect with you anywhere, the old story could not even be presented in a new way.

Overall this series is a waste of time
