Maulana Ishaq Gora got angry when Taliban made beating of women legal, told what status he got in Islam

Jamiat Dawatul Muslimeen’s patron and famous Deobandi Ulema Maulana Qari Ishaq Gora has issued a video statement strongly condemning the alleged ideology and rules of the Taliban, which justify harshness and violence against women. Maulana clearly said that linking such mentality of Taliban with the religion of Islam is completely wrong and misleading.

‘Islam is the religion of mercy and justice’
Maulana Qari Ishaq Gora said that recently an alleged rule related to Taliban came to light, in which it was claimed that the husband can give physical punishment to the wife for her “fault”, provided the bone is not broken. He called it inhuman and against humanity. He says that Islam is a religion of mercy, justice and respect, not of oppression and coercion.

‘Insulting women is not Islamic education’

He said that love, patience and softness in domestic life are the basic teachings of Islam. Insulting women, raising hands on them or keeping them in fear cannot be Islamic education under any circumstances. Those who try to justify violence in the name of Islam are far from the real soul of the religion.

‘Women are God’s trust’

Maulana reminded that Prophet Mohammad Sahib has repeatedly advised to treat women well. In Islam, marriage has been described as a relationship of peace and mercy, and not a means of showing power. He said that woman is the trust of Allah and it is the responsibility of every man to protect her.

Targeted at Taliban

Ulemas belonging to areas like Deoband and Saharanpur have always been saying that women have been given equal status in Islam. Maulana Ishaq Gora said that since the Taliban came to power in Afghanistan, there have been many restrictions on women’s education, employment and freedom, which has raised questions all over the world. But it is wrong to present these steps in the name of Islam.

It is necessary to protest – Isaac Gora

He appealed to the Ulemas, responsible people of the society and common Muslims to differentiate between right and wrong. Understand Islam not in the light of any political or gang thinking, but in the light of Quran and Sunnah. Maulana said that if some people misinterpret the religion for their own benefit, then it is necessary to oppose them.

In the end, Maulana Qari Ishaq Gora prayed that Allah Almighty grants the entire Ummah the ability to follow the path of understanding, justice and mercy and the correct picture of Islam is presented to the world.
