Meanwhile, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma has given a big statement regarding the Election Commission. He said that after the elections in the state are over, he will file a PIL against the Election Commission.
‘Inside Out with Megha Prasad’ During an interview on Monday (April 13, 2026), CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said that I will file a PIL after the elections, which will include many big issues and this PIL will be against the Election Commission. He argued that these allegations against me and my wife were made before the elections in the state, with the aim of influencing the election results and if all these documents are proved to be false after the election results are out, will the elections be conducted again? Because if a party loses elections due to such allegations, then it cannot be reformed.
He said, ‘I will file the PIL because when any national political party does this to influence the election results, then the registration of the party should be canceled if their fraud is proved.’ He has also said that I will do this from my personal level.

He said, ‘I am taking this matter so seriously because I feel that there are going to be many more such attacks on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) before the 2029 general elections.
