BSNL WiFi Calling: With the beginning of the new year, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has given great relief to its customers. The company has launched Wi-Fi Calling i.e. Voice over WiFi (VoWiFi) service in all telecom circles across the country. Through this facility, users can now make and receive calls with the help of Wi-Fi network even when the mobile signal is weak.
Now calls will be easy even in areas with less network
The biggest benefit of Wi-Fi Calling will be available in those areas where mobile network often does not support. BSNL users, especially those living in rural and remote areas, will now be able to talk without interruption through a stable Wi-Fi connection. If there is a BSNL Bharat Fiber or any other broadband connection in your home or office, then there will be no need to worry about the network.
Without app, call will be made directly from mobile dialer
There is no need to download any third-party app for this service. Wi-Fi Calling works directly from the phone’s default dialer and calls are made from your existing mobile number. The special thing is that during a call, there is automatic switching between Wi-Fi and mobile network so that the conversation is not interrupted.
No extra charges, same old tariff
BSNL has made it clear that no separate fee will be charged from customers for Wi-Fi Calling. Calls made via Wi-Fi will be billed like normal voice calls. That means users will be able to talk as per their existing plan, without any extra cost.
In which mobile phones will this facility be available?
Wi-Fi Calling is supported in most new and modern smartphones. Users just have to go to the settings of their phone and turn on the Wi-Fi Calling option. If there is any doubt regarding any device, BSNL has advised customers to contact their nearest service center or helpline.
BSNL’s big step towards network upgrade
The introduction of Wi-Fi Calling across the country is considered to be a part of BSNL’s network modernization campaign. Its purpose is to provide better connectivity even in those areas where mobile network has been a big challenge till now. This step will not only provide relief to the customers but is also expected to reduce the increasing pressure on the mobile network.
