Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated ‘Seva Teerth’ and Dutva Bhavan 1 and 2. Seva Teerth houses the PMO, National Security Council Secretariat and Cabinet Secretariat. During this, PM Modi said that we are seeing history being made. South Block was a symbol of the British Raj. The symbols of slavery were being demolished. Rajpath is today known as Dutva Path. Mughal Garden was renamed as Amrit Udyan and the old Parliament House was renamed as Samvidhan Bhavan.

This day of 13th February is witnessing a new beginning in India’s development journey. Today we all are entering the building of service, pilgrimage and duty with the resolve of ‘developed India’. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, ‘After independence, many decisions and policies for the country were taken from buildings like South Block, North Block. But it is also true that these buildings were built as a symbol of the British Empire. The purpose of building these buildings was to keep India bound in the chains of slavery.

PM Modi said, ‘Today we all are seeing a new history being made. Today is an important auspicious day of Vikram Samvat 2082, Phalgun Krishna Paksha, Vijaya Ekadashi. This day of 13 February is witnessing a new beginning in India’s development journey. Vijaya Ekadashi has great importance in our scriptures, the resolve with which we move forward on this day definitely leads to victory. Today all of us are also entering the pilgrimage of service with the aim of a developed India. Today, when India is riding on the Reform Express, today when new trade agreements are opening new doors of possibilities. When the country is rapidly moving towards the goal of saturation, Seva Teerth and new buildings will play a huge role in achieving the country’s goal.
Museum will be built in North and South Block
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, ‘Amidst this change, the memories of the years spent in the old building will definitely remain with us. Many important decisions were taken from there at different times, the country has got a new direction from there. That complex, that building is an immortal part of India’s history, so we have decided to make that building a museum dedicated to the country.
Seva Teerth’s earlier name was Executive Enclave.
Seva Tirtha means ‘place of service’. Earlier it was named ‘Executive Enclave’, but on 2 December 2025, its name was changed to Seva Tirtha. It is located in Executive Enclave on Dara Shikoh Road in New Delhi. At the same time, many major ministries including the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Law and Justice, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers and Ministry of Tribal Affairs have been given space in Dutva Bhawan-1 and 2.
