Google has announced to make a big investment in the field of AI in India in the next few years. Sundar Pichai, CEO of American tech company Google, and Demis Hassabis, CEO of DeepMind, said that their company will invest about $15 billion (Rs 1,360 billion) in India during the next five years. Google will provide cloud service
Along with this, he also announced a partnership to provide cloud infrastructure platform to more than two crore government employees in 800 districts. To promote research, Google announced ‘AI for Science Impact Challenge’ worth $30 million. This initiative will support AI research leading to next generation scientific discoveries.

Undersea cable will be laid till America
Google CEO inaugurates ‘India-America Connect Initiative’. This is a series of sea cable routes being laid to increase AI connectivity between America and India. He said that India’s diversity and strong digital public infrastructure makes it a powerful place for innovation.
Apart from this, in collaboration with ‘Atal Tinkering Labs’, 1.1 crore students of 10,000 schools will be taught generative AI, robotics and coding. ‘Google AI Professional Certificate Program’ launched in Hindi and English for students and early career professionals.
