A heated clash and an atmosphere of tension broke out between two rival political parties in the camp office premises of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Pulla Venkata Raman Reddy in Kamareddy district center of Telangana on Saturday. This incident has created a sensation in the entire area, in this violent clash a car was overturned and the police had to resort to lathi charge and control to control the situation. The matter was the result of serious allegations of land grabbing and subsequent challenging statements, which took the form of a face-to-face fight.
Why did such a situation arise, what is the whole matter?
The incident started with allegations of land grabbing made by senior Congress leader and former minister Mohammad Ali Shabbir against BJP MLA Venkata Raman Reddy. Shabbir Ali had alleged that the MLA had illegally occupied the lands located in ‘Arora’. In response to these allegations, MLA Venkata Raman Reddy not only rejected the allegations but also openly challenged Shabbir Ali that if he had the guts, he should come to his camp office and discuss. After this challenge, the atmosphere heated up and Congress leaders accepted it and decided to come out for protest.
According to the information, former Congress sarpanch and leader Giri Reddy Mahender Reddy along with his supporters proceeded towards the MLA’s camp office in large numbers. As soon as the procession reached near the office, the BJP workers present there blocked its path. After this, a heated dispute started between the two parties which soon turned into scuffle and vandalism. During this, the mob attacked Mahender Reddy’s car and overturned it, causing heavy damage to the vehicle.
Police had to take immediate action to handle the matter
The situation at the spot became so bad that the police had to take immediate action to handle the matter. The police force tried to create distance between the two sides, but the tension was showing no sign of reducing. Ultimately, to bring the situation under control, the police detained Congress leader Mahender Reddy and took him to the police station. This incident reflects the deep rift and growing hatred in Kamareddy politics. This political tussle that has been going on in the area for some time has now taken a violent form. At present, the police have tightened security in the area and are taking stock of the further action, while both sides are adamant on their allegations.
