Rajya Sabha Elections: Will 4 NDA MLAs do cross voting in Bihar? Political claim created panic

Voting is today (Monday) for five Rajya Sabha seats of Bihar and the results will also come today itself. NDA’s victory on four seats is considered certain, but for one seat, the prestige of both the Grand Alliance and NDA is at stake. Meanwhile, the leaders of the Grand Alliance are claiming that our victory on one seat is certain. MLA IP Gupta said that four NDA MLAs are in touch with us. Will do cross voting. Grand alliance candidate will win.

Indian Inclusive Party President and MLA IP Gupta claimed that the numerical strength of the Grand Alliance is 41+4. We are breaking into the NDA itself. This political claim of IP Gupta has created a stir.

On the other hand, Grand Alliance MLAs were kept in a hotel for voting. Now when voting is to be held today, they have slowly started coming out. Speaking to the media outside the hotel, RJD MLA and party’s principal general secretary Ranvijay Sahu claimed that we have complete figures. The grand alliance is united under the leadership of Tejashwi Yadav. Everything will be known in a few moments. Our victory is certain.

RJD MLA Gautam Krishna also said that we are united and our candidate will win. Let us tell you that five candidates of NDA alliance and one candidate of Tejashwi are in the fray. That means six candidates are in the fray for five seats.

Who has how many MLAs in NDA-Grand Alliance?

There are 243 assembly seats in Bihar. To win a Rajya Sabha seat, 41 votes are required. NDA has 202 MLAs. Whereas Tejashwi i.e. Grand Alliance has 35 MLAs. There are five MLAs from Asaduddin Owaisi’s party and one from BSP. While NDA will need three votes to win the fifth seat, Tejashwi will need 6 votes. Overall, there is a possibility of the results changing due to cross voting.
