Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda’s marriage has been in the news on social media for the last few days. The couple’s pre-wedding rituals started on 24 February. After this, both of them got married in a dreamy ceremony in Udaipur on 26 February. The grand wedding ceremonies ended with a grand reception for friends and family in Hyderabad on March 4. Since the announcement of the marriage, their dreamy engagement-sangeet setup, expensive outfits and wedding are being discussed a lot on social media.
Vijay-Rashmika’s wedding and various pre-wedding functions took place at a very luxurious 5-star property The Mementoes by ITC Hotels. After this, the couple shared happiness by distributing free meals and sweets to their fans across the country. After the wedding, a grand reception was also organized at a luxurious hotel Taj Krishna, where family and close friends attended.
Vijay and Rashmika spent crores on their wedding?
According to reports, around Rs 12 crore was spent on their marriage and all the functions related to it. There are also reports that the couple rejected the offer of Rs 60 crore received for OTT rights of their wedding. Although these news have not been officially confirmed yet, but it is considered to be one of the most expensive weddings of Tollywood.
Grand Wedding of Tollywood
Celebrating weddings in a royal style is nothing new in Tollywood and South film industry. Even before Vijay-Rashmika, many actors had done royal wedding. Brahmani Reddy and Rajeev Reddy got married in the year 2016 in a grand ceremony that lasted for 5 days. About 50,000 guests attended this wedding held at Bengaluru Palace Grounds and its cost is said to be around Rs 550 crore.
After this comes Junior NTR, who got married in the year 2011. About 3,000 VIP guests attended this ceremony and at that time its cost was said to be around Rs 100 crore. The marriage of Allu Arjun and Sneha Reddy was also very grand. Rs 90–100 crore was reportedly spent on this ceremony held at Hitex Grounds in Hyderabad. Ram Charan and Upasana Kamineni got married in the year 2012. However, its exact cost has not been revealed.
