South Central Railway (SCR) has given a big good news for the passengers of Telugu states. New ‘Amrit Bharat Express’ is being started from 23rd January between Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) to Charlapalli (Telangana). The main objective of this train, connecting South India via Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, is to provide better facilities to the general and middle class passengers. This step of Railways is expected to significantly increase the transportation facilities between the two states.

‘The new train is part of the Amrit Bharat series’

This new train is part of the ‘Amrit Bharat’ series, which the Central Government is starting for the convenience of the general public across the country. This train will run every week and will cover many important cities in its route. According to sources, this train will start from Thiruvananthapuram and enter Andhra Pradesh via Ernakulam, Palakkad, Kottayam, Kollam, Katpadi and Salem. Its major stops in Andhra Pradesh are Renigunta, Nellore, Ongole, Bapatla, Tenali, Guntur and Sattenapalle. After this it will end its ride at Charlapalli station via Miryalaguda and Nallagonda.

The most special thing about this train is the mix of its technology and coaches. Passengers will get a shock-free travel experience in Amrit Bharat Express as ‘Push-Pull’ technology has been used in it. This means that the engine will be installed on both the front and rear of the train, which will not only increase the speed but will also make the journey very comfortable. The train includes 12 sleeper coaches, 11 general coaches, two second class seating coaches and one pantry car.
