Telangana Gas Crisis: Gas shortage amid war, here LPG filling centers are playing games, 40 cylinders seized

In Suryapet district of Telangana, police took major action and conducted raids against illegal LPG gas filling centres. In this operation, the police seized 20 commercial and 20 domestic cylinders and also took possession of the equipment used for filling gas. This entire action has exposed a big illegal gas business going on in the district.

Police investigation revealed that the accused were running this business in a planned manner. They used to extract gas from domestic gas cylinders and fill it in commercial cylinders. Using the gas provided by the government on subsidy for domestic use for commercial purposes is not only a legal offense but is also a direct fraud on the general public. These illegally filled commercial cylinders were sold in the market at high prices, due to which the accused were earning huge profits.

Illegal filling process is dangerous

The most worrying aspect that has come to light in this entire matter is that this kind of illegal filling process is extremely dangerous. Filling gas from one cylinder to another without proper technical equipment and safety standards can always lead to a major accident. The lives of people living near such illegal centers are always in danger. Keeping this sensitive aspect in mind, the police took immediate action and closed these centres.

Police registered a case against the accused

The police have duly registered a case against the accused involved in this matter. Action will be taken against the accused under LPG Control Order and Essential Commodities Act. Police officials said that complaints of this type of illegal gas business were being received for some time, after which this raid was conducted on the basis of secret information. The District Police has appealed to the general public that if they have information about any such illegal activity around them, then inform the police immediately, so that action can be taken in time.
