Controversy has arisen over stopping a Sikh religious procession in South Auckland, New Zealand. Members of a far-right group suddenly stopped the city kirtan. Its video is going viral on social media. In this, people wearing blue T-shirts stand on the side of the Great South Road and come in front of the procession and start performing the traditional Maori Haka. This stops the procession from moving forward.
The protesters are followers of Pentecostal pastor Brian Tamaki. Who is the head of Destiny Church. During this he raised slogans like One True God and Jesus-Jesus. However, the police did not allow any kind of dispute to arise.

Here, while sharing the video, Tamaki wrote – This is our land. This is our stand. Today true patriots stood their ground in South Auckland. no violence. No riot. Just my young people were doing haka. He has said that New Zealand should remain New Zealand.
He said that some parts of Manurewa were blocked for hours by Sikhs and Khalistani terrorists. They were waving swords and daggers. Foreigners and terrorists were hoisting flags. We told the country that this is New Zealand. These are our roads. This is our land. Actually, Haka is a Maori cultural dance. It represents identity, pride and unity. This is often done by a special group.

The Sikh community said that they had permission for the procession

New Zealand MP Priyanka Radhakrishnan said that New Zealand is the home of such people, where more than 300 different languages are spoken. Many religions are considered. Punjab Chief Minister made this appeal
In this entire matter, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal urged the Central Government to raise the issue of disrupting a peaceful city kirtan procession in South Auckland with the New Zealand government.
