A tragic road accident took place in Telangana’s Jagityal district today (February 25) morning, when a Tata Magic van carrying students of a private school went out of control and overturned, injuring around 15 students. The accident occurred near the Model School in Mallapur, where the driver failed to control the speed and uncontrolled vehicle.

According to the information received, this vehicle was carrying students of a private school in the area. It is coming to light that there were more children in the vehicle than the carrying capacity, due to which the risk of accident had increased further after going out of control.
Children admitted to hospital
Hearing the sound of the accident, nearby local people and villagers immediately reached the spot. He did not waste any time in saving the lives of the children and righted the vehicle and took out the injured children. The villagers and local people together immediately took all the injured students to Mallapur Government Hospital, where a team of doctors started their treatment. The condition of the children is said to be stable in the hospital, although some children have suffered serious injuries.

This accident is once again raising serious questions which are raised from time to time regarding the safety of school vehicles and adherence to traffic rules. In rural areas, crowding of children in school vehicles and disregard for safety standards is often seen. Vehicles like Tata Magic are often used as school buses, but sometimes carelessness is taken regarding their speed and maintenance.
Police engaged in investigation of the case
In recent times, many such cases have come to light in various districts of Telangana, where children’s lives are in danger due to overloading and race running. Parents and local residents have demanded the administration to strictly check the fitness of school vehicles and the licenses of drivers, so that such tragic incidents can be prevented in future. Police have started investigating the matter and have given instructions to take appropriate action against the driver.
